On January 15, 2010 a martial arts action comedy film, The Spy Next Door, starring Jackie Chan, Magnus Scheving, Billy Ray Cyrus, George Lopez, Amber Valletta, Madeline Carroll, Will Shadley, is set for release in USA. The Spy Next Door is directed by Brian Levant, written by Jonathan Bernstein, James Greer (story) and Jonathan Bernstein, James Greer, Gregory Poirier (screenplay), and produced by Robert Simonds. The movie is distributed by Lionsgate.

The filming began in New Mexico in late October and was finished in late December 2008. The Spy Next Door is rated PG for sequences of action violence and for some mild rude humor.

Jackie Chan plays Bob Ho, who is an undercover CIA agent who decides to quit his spy career in espionage and settle down in a quiet place with his next-door girlfriend and neighbor, Gillian (Amber Valletta). But before Gillian agrees to marry him Bob has to accomplish one more mission: he has to win over her three kids.

When Gillian suddenly leaves town, Bob volunteers to stay with and babysit the children so he can earn their respect. But when one of the kids mistakenly downloads a top-secret formula from his computer, Bob’s archenemy, a Russian terrorist, moves in for the attack, forcing Bob to juggle the roles of spy and prospective stepfather in the most challenging mission of his career!
