Perhaps, you want to know who is Don Ready. Is he a lover? A salesman? A semi-professional dolphin trainer? Actually, he is everything above and much more (except dolphin training, perhaps).
Don Ready (Jeremy Piven) is a used-car liquidator who is hired by a failing auto dealership to make a fortune on their 4th of July sale. The local car dealership is almost a bankrupt, and he with his ragtag crew has to save it.
They come to the town of Temecula to win, like a crowd of hungry coyotes rush on a basket full of hamburgers. They sell, they drink, they sell again and they go to local strip clubs. That is how they do their trade. And they know what to do and do it very well.
But what Don is not ready for and cannot expect is that he would fall in love and become a human with feelings and soul.
The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard is the first production from Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez Productions.
