On July, 31, 2009 the horror film, The Collector, starring Daniella Alonso, Josh Stewart, Andrea Roth, Michael Reilly Burke, Karley Scott-Collins, Madeline Zima, Robert Wisdom and Juan Fernandez is released in USA. The Collector is directed by Marcus Dunstan and written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan (the people who were behind ‘Saw IV’, ‘Saw V’ and the upcoming ‘Saw VI’). The movie originally was intended to become a Saw prequel, but producers refused to shoot a prequel.

A burglar and ex-con Arkin (Josh Stewart) gets an “opportunity” — he wants to rob a quiet and presumably empty home and it seems to be a fairly easy task for him. He is looking for a safe, inside which there is a gem — his only hope to repay a debt to his ex-wife.

But he doesn’t know that a masked madman has already invaded the house, caught the family and placed all sorts of lethal traps around the house — a real collection of inquisition tools. And here the burglar has to make a desicion: to run away or save the family. He choose the latter, but even if he had chosen to escapa that would have become much harder thing to do than he ever could have imagined.
