The plot of the 3rd part of this famous “Ice Age” series is as follows. After the Meltdown events are over, Manny and his friends experience changes in their lives. Diego doesn’t like that everybody around treats him like a house pet and insists on that he has become laid-back too much. Manny with his wife Ellie are expecting a baby, and this is why Manny worries tries to do everything to make sure everything’s perfect around for the time when thier baby is born. Scrat not only hunts for his adored acorn, but also fall into love with Scratte, a female sabre-toothed squirrel. And Sid want to get his own family and ultimately steals several eggs from dinosaurus, but this risky adventure results in trapping Sid into an underground world where dinosaurs live, so all his friends have to rescue him from that place. They face danger, have great time and make funny things during the whole length of the movie. Moreover they meet Buck, a weasel who intently hunts dinosaurs.

The president of the FOX announced about shooting it more than two years ago, on January 30, 2007. The first announced release date was December 12, 2008, but then they moved it several times and the final date now is July 1, 2009. However, they ran a sneak preview on Father’s Day nationwide at selected theaters in the United States.

The film is being produced by Blue Sky Studios and features John Leguizamo, Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, Denis Leary, Josh Peck, Seann William Scott, Simon Pegg, and Chris Wedge. It will be distributed by 20th Century Fox.
